Manuscripts can be submitted through our online submission system. Please visit the "Submit Paper" page on our website for detailed instructions. You will need to create an account, complete the submission form, upload your manuscript files, and provide all required information about authors, funding, and ethical considerations.
We accept manuscripts in the following formats: Microsoft Word (.docx, .doc), LaTeX (.tex, .zip), and PDF (.pdf). For initial submission, PDF is acceptable for review purposes, but final accepted manuscripts must be submitted in editable format (Word or LaTeX) for typesetting. Figures should be submitted as separate files in high-resolution formats (JPEG, TIFF, PNG, EPS).
The journal follows HEC guidelines with a maximum 11% similarity index. Manuscripts exceeding this limit will be returned to authors for revision. We use plagiarism detection software to check all submissions, and any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is unacceptable and will result in immediate rejection.
No, we do not accept simultaneous submissions. Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration for publication by another journal. If your manuscript is under review by another journal, you must withdraw it from consideration there before submitting to our journal. This policy ensures the integrity of the peer review process.
The following documents are required for submission:
The average peer review process takes 4-6 weeks from submission to decision. This includes 1-3 business days for initial check, 2-5 business days for editorial assignment, 4-6 weeks for peer review, and 1-2 weeks for editorial decision. If revisions are required, the revision process typically takes 4-8 weeks. The total time from submission to publication is usually 3-6 months.
Double-blind peer review means that both the reviewers and authors are anonymous throughout the review process. Author identities are removed from the manuscript before it is sent to reviewers, and reviewer identities are not disclosed to authors. This helps to reduce bias and ensure objective evaluation based solely on the scientific merit of the work.
Each manuscript is evaluated by 2-3 independent experts in the field. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, reputation, and availability. The number of reviewers may vary depending on the complexity of the manuscript and the availability of suitable reviewers. In some cases, additional reviewers may be consulted to ensure comprehensive evaluation.
The corresponding author will be notified of the editorial decision via email. The decision letter will include detailed comments from reviewers and the editor's recommendation. Possible decisions include: Accept as is, Minor revision, Major revision, or Reject. All communication will be sent to the email address provided during submission.
Yes, authors may appeal an editorial decision if they believe the review process was flawed or biased, or if reviewers misunderstood or misrepresented the manuscript. Appeals must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the decision letter, clearly stating the grounds for appeal and providing supporting evidence. The Editor-in-Chief will review the appeal and communicate the final decision within 4-6 weeks.
The publication charges are PKR 20,000 for local authors and USD 100 for international authors. These charges cover the costs of peer review, copyediting, typesetting, online publication, and archiving. Publication charges are only applicable if the manuscript is accepted for publication. We offer waivers or discounts for authors from low-income countries upon request.
